📅 October Monthly Log!

Time for a new monthly log! Per usual, I’ll put a “Read More” bar for easy blog scrolling. I’m feeling a little bit better about this formatting style, so I think I’ll keep it like this until I decide otherwise.

Without further ado, here’s October!

🌸 Arkham Horror

As of Oct 25, we are one scenario away from finishing The Feast of Hemlock Vale! Due to a scheduling conflict, we’ll be playing the final scenario on Nov 8.

How we ended up playing this campaign was, as we called it, “Funny Haha.” I even had some clutch moments simply because my deck is the way that it is. I’ve never played a deck like this before, but I’ve been having a lot of fun with it. We’ll see what the final scenario has in store for us!

🌸 Honkai Star Rail (HSR)

Not much to update here since I haven’t gotten to the main story quests yet (I’m lazy lol). I’m trying to pull for Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae, though. My friend said I should pull for Acheron when her banner comes back, but my heart and brain really said, “But it’s my boy.” I have no excuse except I just really like Dan Heng. …And Imbibitor Lunae is just another flavor of the same character. (laughs) So here I am pulling for Imbibitor Lunae.

I also gem farmed a bit on Divergent Universe since I’m a little behind on that. I really should start working through the main story quests (and any ongoing events). I’m literally missing out on gems!

On a side note, instead of continuing the main story quest, I ended up doing the entire Rappa event on Halloween. (laughs) Extras gems for pulling Imbibitor Lunae!

🌸 Sonic X Shadow Generations

I only played one level of Shadow Generations and nothing else, but only because I wasn’t ready to play the game just yet. (laughs) I just wanted to give myself a sneak peek before I really get into it.

That being said, I’ve never played the original Sonic Generations, but I also don’t play many Sonic games to begin with. HOWEVER. I am a super huge Shadow fan, so of course, I ended up preordering the game (and watching the mini series that was released in preparation for the game).

🌸 Super Mario Party Jamboree

It hasn’t been too long since I started playing the game, but I’ve gotten to try out all the different modes at least once. As far as Mario Party boards go, I’ve only played four of the seven boards (Mario’s Rainbow Castle, Mega Wiggler’s Tree Party, Roll ’em Raceway, & Rainbow Galleria).

There’s a fun single-player mode called Party-Planner Trek, and I’ve fully completed one run with Shy Guy. Will try to complete it with more characters later! And finally, just like its predecessor, there are lots of missions to complete, stickers to collect, etc. I’m excited to keep playing!

🌸 Touken Ranbu (TKRB)

~ Touken Ranbu Warriors ~

So first things first, I did indeed end up buying Touken Ranbu Warriors. Like I mentioned back when I played the demo, I’m not much of a hack-and-slash gamer (and this isn’t my first hack-and-slash videogame either).

I’ve currently played through the prologue and four chapters, with each chapter focusing on a different team of sword boys. At the end of the second chapter, I was introduced to Omokage, a sword boy playable only in the Warriors game. The story has been interesting, and if I’m assuming correctly, there should only be one team left for me to play with and then maybe one final chapter to wrap up the game? The character models are a little funky, but I’m getting used to them.

~ Touken Ranbu ~

New sword boy means a new event, and oh my god, Unshou is beautiful. When they pre-released him on the TKRB socials, I wasn’t 100% sure if he was my type. Now that I’ve had time to stare at him (laughs), I think he’s almost my type. He’s close, but I think there’s still something missing for me (I just don’t know what that is). HOWEVER. I can admit he’s very pretty (and his color scheme is nice).

The event has been fairly easy, though. It started on Oct 22 and will run until Nov 5 (Nov 4 at 8pm for me since the game runs on JST and I’m PST). Unshou came home on the second day, but before he did, Oodenta Mitsuyo and Ningen Mukotsu came home as event “drops.” The reason why “drops” was put in quotes was because the event had me clearing 3×3 bingo boards, and behind each board was a silhouette of a sword boy. If I cleared the board, I got the boy. Simple as that.

While I would’ve loved duplicates of rarer swords, I actually reset the board if I knew the silhouette was of a boy I already owned. This was done to speed up the process of getting enough event points for Unshou. (laughs)

In other news, Horikawa Kunihiro went on his kiwame journey and came home a few days before the month ended! Now all of the Kunihiro brothers have their kiwame form. My first complete kiwame set!

🌸 Twisted Wonderland (TWST)

In a moment of weakness, I gave in on the second day of October and tried pulling for the Culinary Crucible event cards. (laughs) I only had enough resources to pull seven times, and neither Vil nor Jack came home. …So I started saving up for the Playful Land event, which started on Oct 21 and will run until Nov 18.

While I would love the SSR event cards (Kalim, Ace, and Ortho), my goal for the event was the SR Playful Attire Leona card. Thankfully, he came home on the first day of pulling (I was able to pull him six times hehe). Another great pull was the SSR Playful Attire Ace card! I lowkey wanted at least one of the SSR event cards, and Ace was the one I wanted the most. So glad he came home before the banner ended.

Just a heads up that the Playful Land event is released in chunks. After completing each chunk, I’m rewarded an event card (see below for event completion status).

~ Book 1 ~ CLEARED (received Playful Attire Jade as event reward)

~ Book 2 ~ CLEARED (received Playful Attire Jack as event reward)

~ Book 3 ~ will receive Playful Attire Lilia as event reward

~ Book 4 ~ will receive Playful Attire Trey as event reward

~ Book 5 ~ will receive Playful Attire Floyd as event reward

✨✨✨✨✨

And that’s a wrap for October! If you’re wondering why it felt like I didn’t do a lot this month (or simply read a lot of manga), it’s because I visited Hawaii with my mom from Oct 13-16. (laughs) Looking forward to what happens in November!

Until next time! Bye bye~
