A new month means it’s time for another monthly log! I did a little bit of a visual update on my blog since the previous theme made the accompanying pictures and words too squished for my liking. Hopefully, it’ll be a little easier to read going forward! Per usual, I’ll put a “Read More” bar for easy blog scrolling.
I’ll be testing out a new writing format because I wasn’t super happy with how I handled the previous month’s log. It’s hard for me to find a good balance between writing about everything I want to write and my feelings on the subject, but I’ll figure it out eventually so I can make everyone’s lives easier (including my own).

As you can see by the completion dates of the first four cases, the weekend of the launch date was dedicated to ✨ him ✨
Turnabout Ablaze took me a bit longer to complete, but that’s because it’s bonkers long and I was also trying to squeeze in anime to watch in between my playthroughs. …And then I proceeded to blast through Prosecutor’s Gambit. (laughs)

🌸 Arkham Horror
9/6/24:
We completed the final scenario of The Scarlet Keys! The team went from “doing okay,” to “struggle bussing,” to “doing fairly okay,” to “oh god, we’re struggle bussing,” to “oh my god, we survived.” Overall a fun scenario, but man oh man, was I stressed. (laughs)
We’ll be starting The Feast of Hemlock Vale next week before taking a break until October since I won’t be available on 9/20, and my brother won’t be available on 9/27. Well, time to pick a new character to play!
9/13/24:
We have officially started The Feast of Hemlock Vale! Below are the characters we’ll be playing as, and it took me halfway through the first scenario to realize that we’re all playing female characters. (laughs) I’m playing as Agnes Baker, my brother is playing as Jenny Barnes, Sophie is playing as Diana Stanley, and Cory is playing as Minh Thi Phan. I’m still getting used to how my deck works, but I’m sure it’ll get easier as we progress through the campaign.
As mentioned above, game nights will take a short break due to prior obligations, so we’ll be continuing our game nights when October rolls around!
🌸 Honkai Star Rail (HSR)
Another game update means new characters to pull~ On the first day, I was able to pull Moze three times! (Twice on my first 10-pull!) I was super shocked since I really wanted him. And now he’s home! 😊 That being said, I still haven’t started the main story quest from the previous update, so I’m more than a little behind now. (laughs)
Next on the “to pull” list was Feixiao (my friend’s recommendation for team comp). Thankfully, she came home at the end of the first week of pulling (on the 14th!). Also per my friend’s recommendation, I made attempts to pull for Robin since her banner came back. Unfortunately by the time her banner ended, I was not able to get her.
🌸 Touken Ranbu (TKRB)
I don’t think I mentioned or showed them off, but check out the backgrounds I was able to get in August and September! Most were event rewards, while the others were log-in rewards. I love getting backgrounds since a lot of them are seasonal or centered around events. If I’m lucky, some are even interactable, include motion, or play different music! 😊
🌸 Twisted Wonderland (TWST)
The Harveston Sledathon event ran from 9/6 to 9/19! Per usual, I got some of the Applepom cards as event completion rewards (R Jade and SR Idia shown below), but my goal for the event was the SSR Jamil card (he’s so pretty~). Since I splurged for Leona’s Birthday card in July and Rollo’s card in August, I made the executive decision not to spend money during the Harveston event.
Unfortunately by the time the event ended, Applepom Jamil did not come home. A bit sad about it, but I’m sure there’ll be a rerun eventually. I’m pretty sure I would’ve had an easier time pulling for Applepom Epel or Applepom Sebek, but oh well. Hopefully, my luck will be better for the next event. BUT PLEASE LOOK AT HOW CUTE JADE AND IDIA ARE.
That being said, I really should remember what the TWST official Twitter posts on their socials. Here’s the lowdown:
- More main story stuff was released on the 20th, along with a Diasomnia showcase of pullable Diasomnia boys. The showcase will end on 10/3. (SSR Dorm Room Silver came home while I was pulling for Rollo, but Malleus, Lilia, and Sebek have yet to come home.)
- Culinary Crucible event, which started on the literal last day of September. Two event cards will be available to pull until 10/9, which is when the event ends. Those cards are SR Vil and SR Jack. (I don’t have either of these cards.)
- A few Halloween-themed cards are having a rerun in the “Terror Is Trending” showcase, and will be available to pull until 10/6. The pullable cards include three SSRs (Cater, Jade, and Vil) and three SRs (Jack, Azul, and Lilia). (The only ones I don’t have are the three SSRs.)
- Playful Land event coming in late October, which means more pullable cards.
Y’ALL. The timing of these events and cards will truly be the death of me… So many cards that I want, but not enough resources to pull for them. ;~;
As much as I am loath to do so, I’m choosing not to pull for the above cards (I’ve technically already been trying for the Diasomnia boys, but that’s beside the point lol). I’m partially a whale for this game, and I spent an exorbitant amount of money pulling for the Rollo and Birthday Leona cards a while back… Even I know my limits, so even though I want these cards, I’m going to save up for the Playful Land event instead.

This feels a little more organized, I think? At the very least, I feel better about the formatting of this post compared to my previous post. I also alphabetized it! …If that makes a difference to anyone (laughs)
I’m actually surprised by how much anime I ended up watching in September. In an attempt to make this post less wordy, I only made a list of what I watched and read with no commentary. I was debating on having a separate post for commentary, but ultimately decided against it. But don’t fret! You might see me talk about them later down the road!
