📒 Weekly Log! (6/10 – 6/16)

Update 10/2/24: Added a “Read More” line.

Hello everyone! This idea came about while I was chatting with a friend and she suggested I could do something like a weekly log to give updates on what I’ve been watching, reading, and/or playing.

I’m not sure how I want to format these yet or how much detail I want to go for each item I include in these logs, but I’ll see what works and what doesn’t and go from there. Since I finally have more free time (after dropping a specific hobby that I will not go into), I would like an easy way to motivate myself to start doing the things I want to do. I also want to post more here, so that’s another reason why. Also (x2), you’ll get to see what I’ve been up to in between my longer posts!

That being said, let’s begin!

Monday, 6/10/24

Wuthering Waves: I unlocked co-op mode the other day and played with my friend for the first time today! Before I could switch to co-op mode, however, I was stuck in two quests. And WUWA will not let you enter co-op mode when you’re in the middle of certain quests. (Rude.)

Sooooo, we were on a Discord call together while I worked on finishing them. After completing those quests, we hopped into co-op mode and fought a few monsters before calling it a night. She was the heavier hitter, but she also helped me with material/Echo farming so I could strengthen my main team.

Still trying to pull for Jiyan with little luck ;~; My friend has him, but he has yet to come home for me. I was iffy about his character design at first, but he’s grown on me. I do have Calcharo, though, my silly little Sephiroth clone. My friend and I ran around the map as two long-haired edgy bois. (laughs)

Tuesday, 6/11/24

Aside from opening Twisted Wonderland and Honkai Star Rail to do the dailies, I didn’t really do much today. It was more of a chill day and I decided that I was going to spend most of it watching YouTube videos. I don’t think I even got the chance to open Wuthering Waves. (laughs) Sometimes it do be like that.

Still working on leveling up my Boothill in HSR though!

I tried watching anime today, but it didn’t turn out as planned. I watched the first episode of a few series that looked interesting, but nothing really hit my fancy once I started watching them. Gotta say, it’s hard to get back into watching anime when you’ve been in the longest (self-inflicted) anime drought ever. It’s not that I got tired of anime. It’s more…life got a little too busy and instead of using anime to de-stress, I ended up on YouTube instead. Watching anime actually caused me more stress since there were shows I wanted to watch but didn’t have time for. And when I finally had time for them, I wouldn’t be in the mood to watch. It was an awful feeling…

So to help me overcome this hurdle, I decided to rewatch “Sugar Apple Fairy Tale,” a series that became near and dear to my heart as soon as I watched the trailer for the first time. And by “rewatch,” I really mean, “Let’s skip through the episode to scenes I want to watch before moving on to the next episode.” (laughs) BUTTTTT, I do want to eventually rewatch the whole thing properly so I can write about it here! I’m hoping that rewatching this series will help get me back into watching anime. After all, I still have my neverending “to watch” list to get through as well.

Wuthering Waves: Got around to playing co-op with my friend again! She helped me level up my Data Bank and we even caught a “shiny,” as we like to call it. (laughs)

Not much else happened, but we had a ton of fun fighting enemies and—upon getting my own “shiny” turtle—activating our turtle’s skill (healing) and rave-dancing together. We dubbed it the “emo boy mating dance” since she ran around as Jiyan and I ran around as Calcharo. Before I got my own turtle, she would rave dance so I could easily find her on my screen. As you know, a screenshot was a must. By the way, I’m the turtle with the green rave lights. (laughs)

Random tangent, but we also found out that PVP exists in co-op mode by complete accident. We’re not sure what happened since neither of us was paying close attention, but my Calcharo suddenly died since he had very low HP while standing next to her raving turtle. 😂

Guess who finally started her rewatch of “Sugar Apple Fairy Tale”? This girl~ 😊

Starting it was actually on a whim because my period cramps kicked in hard today (It’s always the first day that sucks!), and what better way to spend my post-work time than by rewatching a series I know I’ll enjoy? Since I’m watching it for fun, I’ve decided not to skip the opening and ending themes during this rewatch.

Even with slight distractions, I was able to make it to the start of episode 8. It was partway through a mini arc, but I was tired and needed to stop there. Could not stop fangirling because Challe is so pretty~ I went and found a pretty fanart of him (Artist) and updated my phone lock screen. Then I proceeded to forget that I changed my lock screen, and now I keep jumpscaring myself whenever I need to unlock my phone. 😂

Saturday, 6/15/24

Sugar Apple Fairy Tale: I had my side job from 9am til noon, but after eating lunch, I rolled into bed to continue my rewatch of “Sugar Apple Fairy Tale.” I ended up making it to the start of episode 2 of the second season! While I could have kept going, my heart had gone through a little too much emotional turmoil by this point, so I’m pausing my rewatch here for the time being. The angst in the series is kicking in (as if it already hasn’t), so I’ll come back to this on Sunday and see how far I get. And yes, I still get jumpscared by my Challe lock screen because I keep forgetting that I changed it. At least I get to look at my pretty fairy boi~ 🥰

Honkai Star Rail: I found out late last night that I never actually did my three rounds of Echo of War, and since I had just used up my energy to do more material farming, I had to wait until today to do them. I usually run Echo of War after I finish up Simulated Universe, so I’m not sure what happened… Well, better late than never, I suppose.

Sunday, 6/16/24

My original plan was to continue my rewatch of “Sugar Apple Fairy Tale,” but I ended up playing Wuthering Waves all day. (laughs) Worked on leveling up my Data Bank a little before I started playing through the main story quests. I’ve completed all the available story quests thus far, so now it’s back to leveling up my Data Bank and my team.

The Jiyan banner ended and he did not come home ;~;

✨✨✨✨✨

Wow, I can’t believe the week is over! I do want to keep making these weekly log posts, but as I said above, I’ll keep trying different formats and see what I’m most comfortable with. I feel like I wrote a lot in this weekly log, but maybe I didn’t. I don’t want to feel like I’m writing too much, but I also don’t want to feel like I’m writing too little! I’ll make slight edits and see what next week’s log will look like.

Just so we’re on the same page, weekly logs will always be posted on the following Monday of the week I’m writing about. I’ve also created a category for them so it’s all in one spot.

Until next time! Bye bye~
